世界のエイプリルフール:Happy April Fools Day!

My due was April 1, and I didn't like it.

So I decided to stay there longer to make my birthday April 2. By doing that, I became the oldest in a class.(Japanese school year starts from April 1, and kids born bet'n April 2 and April 1 are placed in the same class.)

Every year, however, my mom calls me a day earlier to say "Happy Birthday" and then asks me what time it is now over here in the States. "It's still April Fools Day," I say. Then she goes "Oh, I'm sorry, hahaha." That's exactly what's gonna happen in 6hrs as she wakes up!

The image above is from SEGA's April Fools' prank in 2006 in which it announced to launch SEGA food stand on moon. With one sixth of earth's gravity, they could dramatically slash its transportation fee. Thanks to the wide range of temperature (-130~+170C), they can serve UDON noodle cooked without heating up, and ice cream without the help of freezer, they said.

Each menu is, therefore, for a limited time offer. But you don't have to hurry, for its business hour is from 295 to 619, 324 hrs a day. So... take a time.

How much? Udon noodle costs only 100 yen ($1) per serving, if you can afford one way ticket to the moon which is 10 billion yen($100M).

He's a pitcher, part yogi and part recluse. Impressively liberated from our opulent life-style, Sidd's deciding about yoga —and his future in baseball.(彼はヨガ禅士でありながら世捨て人のピッチャー。
-Happy April Fools Day. プリンプトン記者の英知とユーモアに敬意を表して。

Birthday stuff sounds familliar. I was born on the first day of the British tax year (April 6th). If I'd made more effort and been born just 13 hours earlier, my parents would have received an entire year's backdated tax rebate (which they'd already planned how to spend) but I was too late and they got nothing. They knew from that day I was going to cause them trouble, as my dad continues to tell anyone that'll listen 30 odd years later.

LOL. That's OyaFukoMono(親不孝者). Tax return is becoming a dicey business nowadays, for some parents beg their doctors for early deliveries on final days of the tax filing season. They probably didn't have that choice 30 yrs ago. I can imagine your parents shouting to you, "Just get out! I'll buy you anything!" hahaha. -Happy Early Birthday, Coal.
