オスカー・ピストリウス母からの手紙:Oscar Pistorius Oscar Pistorius makes Olympic history

He said he had been thinking a lot on this special day about his mother, Sheila. He has the dates of her birth and her death — March 6, 2002 — on his arm.

Five months before his amputation, she (Pistorius' mother) wrote a letter for him to read as an adult.

"The real loser is never the person who crosses the finishing line last. The real loser is the person who sits on the side, the person who does not even try to compete."
