これは若き作曲家オーラヴル・アルナルズ（Ólafur Arnalds）2009年のアルバム「Found Songs」収録曲「Ljósið」。
オーラヴル・アルナルズは1986年、アイスランドの首都レイキャビクから数km郊外の村osfellsbærに生まれた。クラシックとポップに弦とピアノを絡めたネオクラシックの作り手だ。
「クラシック・シーンは、一生音楽の勉強に縁のない人にはなんというか、閉じられている。僕は、この種の音楽を普段聴かない人たちに自分のクラシックの影響を与え…みんなの心を開きたいんだ」（サイトより）
2009年春、1日1曲ずつ作曲しツイートで7日連続で発表してつくったのがこのアルバム。Flickrのファンから曲にぴったりの画像や映像が寄せられ、同年8月にはアルゼンチンのブエノスアイレス在住モーショングラフィック・アーティスト、エステバン・ディアコノ（Esteban Diácono）さんが「Ljósið」に映像（上）をつけ、VimeoやYouTubeでヒットした。引用されてる言葉がいちいち素敵なんだよね。出典はブライアン・イーノ、ニーチェ、アインシュタイン、ステファン・サグマイスターほか。
