The other day I saw a news report about reSTART, the first addiction recovery program specifically designed for serious sufferers of the Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD).
They live offline, doing nature hikes and stuff like that to regain a social skills. The environment seems no different from YMCA summer camp (the one at Half Moon Bay where I send my kids in summer doesn't even provide electricity), yet the fee is lofty; $14,500 for 45 days program, and $27,000 for 90 days.

Hmmmm, I'd rather choose a long stay in Japanese hot springs... but what's even more surprising to me is that they already got some participants. Do you think this whole thing makes sense?

う～む…ネットのない温泉を旅する方が安上がりな気もするが、もう参加者がいると聞いて二度驚いた。
