人を動かすテクノロジ-Persuasive Technology

Do you know what 'CAPTOLOGY' means? It stands for 'computers as persuasive technologies.' It's a term coined by Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab and yackpack founder, B.J.Fogg, and I met with Chika Ando who has recently co-translated his book Persuasive Technology into Japanese. It's quite an interesting notion, especially for me who have struggled with Google's spam-blocking function last month when uploading my first post to this blog. Strangely enough, re-writing hundred times against the spam blocker helped me refine the texts. I was more desperate than trying to persuade my editor. When a machine says NO, it means NO no matter what you say. It surely changes the way people think and behave!

　日経BPから共訳書「人を動かすテクノロジ」 を出版された安藤知華さんにお会いした。技術が人をどう変えるか。同書はこの問題に心理学の側面から光を当てたアカデミックな本だ。

　「スタンフォード・パースウェイシブ・テクノロジ研究所創設者でyackpack創業者B.J.Foggの博士論文が土台の本なのでとにかく事例と注記＆参考文献がすごいんです。この分野を研究したい人にとっては必読書」と安藤さん。確かに開いてみると小さな言い回しひとつにも「これはこのURLから引用した」と断っており、自分の知りうる限りのもの全部を曝け出して「さあ、一緒に考えよう」という姿勢には草分けの潔さを感じる。インスパイヤした仲立ちの文献(殊にURL)を飛び越えて大元の文献を引用してオリジ ナルを装う小さな学者とは土台が違う、というか。
　本ブログ第一稿で先月グーグルのスパム識別システムと格闘したばかりの筆者としては誠に説得力ある本。何度書き直してもボツの鉄壁グーグルにはどんな鬼デスクも敵いません、はい。
