Breakfast in Bed

My mom called me last night to say Happy Birthday. (It's already April 2nd in Japan. )

Maybe because I heard her voice before going to bed, I had a dream of sending e-mail to my dad into the past. Just like Google's April Fools' prank, Custom Time, which lets you e-mail into the past back until April 1, 2004, the day they launched Gmail.

The only difference was, in my dream, you get a reply.

So my mom was all excited when she received an e-mail from my dad who died in 2005. She hurried to show me the laptop and stumbled at something. The laptop slipped from her hands, and we both caught it.

We opened the message, and it was a spam.

I woke up crying. Then my son showed up with this birthday present; Breakfast in Bed. He got the idea from adult friend in Kendo practice last night. Asked what he could do in last minutes when he has no time or money to shop a gift.

The guy told him to wake up a bit earlier to cut a fresh flower from backyard, and put whatever it takes to make it look nice and special. - It really worked:)
