Just after I changed from "3GS" to "3G S" bearing the burden of pressing yet another space key, Apple changed from "iPhone 3G S" to "iPhone 3GS" today with its press release that marked the return of Steve Jobs!
As The Washington Post's Rob Pegoraro tweeted a while ago, Apple's iPod and iPhone marketing VP Greg Joswiak confirmed that it's officially "3GS" now.
半角を1回余分に押すという重労働に耐え、「3G S」とすきっ歯表記し始めた矢先、アップルが「iPhone 3G S」から「iPhone 3GS」に正式表記を改めた。
久々のジョブズ節が目を引いた販売100万台達成のプレスリリースが、「3GS」なのだ。早速、ワシントンポスト紙ロブ・ペゴラロ記者がアップルiPod／iPhone部門VPのグレッグ・ジョスウィアク氏に確認したところ「iPhone 3GS」が正式な表記と分かった。理由は、「ただ単に、3GSひと塊の方が見た感じもベターだと思うから」。3GSだと3Gの複数形（3Gs）と混同しそうだけど、ワン・キー減るのは嬉しい。
ところで今日はジョブズ氏が出社した姿がアップル社員に目撃されたよ。
